Terms of use
The short version
- JMedGuide is a study aid for MBBS students aged 18 or older. One account per person.
- Use it for your own study. Do not copy, scrape, sell or republish our answers.
- Answers are drafted with AI from standard textbooks and reviewed by experts. Frame-your-own drafts are not reviewed. Always check against your textbook and teachers.
- It is not medical advice.
- These terms are governed by Indian law.
1. Agreeing to these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and [legal name of the company], India ("JMedGuide", "we", "us"), for the JMedGuide app at app.jmedguide.com and this website. By creating an account or using JMedGuide, you agree to them and to our Privacy policy. If you do not agree, please do not use JMedGuide.
2. Who can use JMedGuide
You must be 18 or older to create an account. JMedGuide is made for MBBS students and others studying Pathology. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we will close it.
3. Your account
- One person, one account. Do not share your account or let others use it.
- Give your real name and an email address you use, and keep them up to date.
- Keep your password safe. You are responsible for what happens in your account. If you think someone else has used it, change your password and sign out your other devices from Me, then tell us.
4. Using JMedGuide fairly
You may use JMedGuide for your own study. You must not:
- copy, download in bulk, scrape, sell, republish or share our answers, diagrams or question banks outside the app, except through the app's own share links;
- use bots, scripts or other automated tools to read or collect content, or to create accounts;
- try to get around Frame-your-own limits, sign-in limits or other protections, or reach parts of the service you are not meant to;
- interfere with the service, overload it, or probe it for weaknesses (if you find a security problem, please tell us at the address below);
- use JMedGuide to break the law or to harm anyone, or put anything unlawful, abusive or misleading into a bank name, description or framed question.
Frame your own includes a set number of free drafts each month, shown in the app. We may change that number.
5. Our content
The answers, diagrams, question banks, design and software of JMedGuide belong to JMedGuide or the people who licensed them to us, and are protected by copyright and other laws. Past university questions are reproduced for study. We give you a personal, limited, non-transferable licence to read and use the content in the app for your own study while your account is open.
6. What you add
Your banks, highlights and the questions you frame stay yours. You let us store them, show them to you on every device and, when you share a bank, show it to people who open your link. A shared link shows the bank's name, its questions and the name you share it under; you can turn the link off at any time. Drafts we write for your framed questions are for your own study, under the same licence as our other content.
7. AI-drafted answers
Answers in JMedGuide are drafted with AI (Claude, made by Anthropic) from standard Pathology textbooks, checked against those books, and reviewed by Pathology faculty before they are published. Frame-your-own drafts are written the same way but are not reviewed by an expert.
We work hard to get answers right, but mistakes can still happen. Use JMedGuide alongside your textbooks, lectures and teachers, not instead of them, and check anything that matters. If you spot an error, report it from the answer or email us, and we will look at it.
8. Not medical advice
JMedGuide helps you prepare for examinations. It does not give medical advice, and nothing in it should be used to diagnose, treat or make decisions about any patient, including yourself.
9. Changes to the service
JMedGuide is new and will change. We may add or remove subjects, answers and features, and the service may sometimes be unavailable while we update or fix it. We will tell you in advance about changes that significantly affect you, where we can.
10. Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time from Me in the app. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or if the law requires it. Where it is reasonable, we will tell you why first and give you a chance to respond. Sections 5, 7, 8, 11 and 12 continue to apply after your account ends.
11. What we promise, and what we do not
We provide JMedGuide with reasonable care and skill. Apart from that, and as far as the law allows, JMedGuide is provided "as is": we do not promise that it will always be available, error-free or complete, or that using it will lead to any exam result.
As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, such as lost marks or lost opportunities, and our total liability to you for any claim about JMedGuide is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or ₹1,000 if that is more. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow us to limit.
12. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. If a dispute comes up, please email us first so we can try to resolve it. If we cannot, the courts in [city], India have jurisdiction, without taking away any right you have to go to a consumer forum.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top and, for changes that matter, tell you in the app or by email before they take effect. If you keep using JMedGuide after that, the new terms apply; if you do not agree, you can delete your account.
