How it works

Every answer goes through three steps before you see it.

  1. Written from the textbooks

Each answer is drafted from the standard Pathology textbooks, for that exact question and the marks it carries. Nothing comes from the open web.

  2. Checked against the books

Every statement is checked against the textbook passage it came from. Anything the books do not clearly support is flagged for the reviewer.

  3. Reviewed by experts

Pathology faculty review every format before it goes live. Until then the question shows "Being reviewed", so you never read an unchecked answer.

Drafts are written with AI (Claude, by Anthropic), working only from the textbooks. The books and the reviewers decide what you read.

What you get

Built for the way you revise before an exam.

Five formats

One question, every way it can be asked

The same topic comes as a 10-mark essay one year and a viva question the next. Switch between the long essay, short essay, short answer, MCQs and the viva questions an examiner is likely to ask, each sized to its marks.

MCQ format of the Apoptosis question: a clinical question with four options and a Reveal answer link.
Question banks

Banks for revision, shared with one link

Save questions into banks, star the ones you keep forgetting and mark what you have read. Share a bank with your batch with one link, and they can add it to their own.

A question bank named Cell injury: last-week revision, with five questions and a Share this bank button.
Frame your own

Ask your own question

A question that is not in the bank yet? Type it in and get a draft in the same layout, written from the same textbooks. Five drafts a month are free. Your own drafts are not reviewed by experts, so check them against your textbook.

The Frame your own screen: a box to type a question, a choice of format and a Generate answer button.
Offline

Keep reading when the network drops

Download chapters with their answers and diagrams, and read them on the bus, in the hostel or in the library basement. Anything you save offline syncs when you are back online.

The Offline mode settings, with chapter downloads, storage used and a Wi-Fi only switch.

FAQ

Questions students ask us

Is JMedGuide free?

Yes. Creating an account and reading every published answer is free. Frame your own includes five free drafts a month.

Which subjects are covered?

Pathology for now. All 27 chapters and their past university questions are in the app, and answers go live chapter by chapter as reviewers approve them.

Who writes the answers?

Answers are drafted with AI strictly from the standard Pathology textbooks, checked automatically against the passages they came from, and then reviewed and corrected by Pathology faculty. An answer appears only after a reviewer approves it.

Can I rely on it for my exam?

It is a study aid built to match how answers are marked, and every published answer is reviewed. Mistakes can still slip through, so read it alongside your textbook and your teachers' notes, and tell us at admin@jmedguide.com if something looks wrong.

Does it work on my phone?

Yes. It runs in any up-to-date browser on Android, iPhone or a laptop, and you can add it to your home screen like an app. Chapters you download work without internet.

What happens to my data?

We keep only what the app needs to work: your name, your email and what you save. We never sell it or use it for advertising. The Privacy policy explains what we keep, who helps us run the service and where your data is stored.

How do I delete my account?

In the app, open Me, tap your name, then Delete my account. Your banks, highlights and progress are deleted with it.

Is this medical advice?

No. JMedGuide helps you prepare for exams. It is not a guide to diagnosing or treating anyone.
